X-Ray Professionals is an affiliate of Horizon Radiology. We provide high quality x-ray images. Our images are reported by Horizon radiology and are available on "Horizon inteleviewer" for health professionals to view. The report is generally available within 24 hours, with urgent reports in just one hour.

If you’re an ACC patient, bring your ACC claim number to your appointment. Please note that your accident must be registered with a clinician beforehand for us to process your X-ray quickly and efficiently..

If you’re eligible for POAC (Primary Options for Acute Care), you can receive your X-ray at no cost. POAC services are designed to provide quicker access to essential care. Learn more about eligibility and how it works here.

We are a Southern Cross affiliated supplier.

This means there will be no charge to you provided Southern Cross accepts your claim. It only takes us a minute to check this.

If they only cover part of your claim, then you will be expected to pay the difference.

Be assured that our images are excellent, produced on the latest DR equipment from the USA and Germany.

Your referrer can see our images on Horizon inteleviewer, and will receive the report within 24 hours after the completion of your examination.

We accept all referral forms for private xrays.

Frequently Asked Questions

We only provide x-rays. All other examinations like CT, MRI, Bone density scans and ultrasound services can be done through larger providers.

What should I wear to my appointment?

Wear plain clothing free of metal, such as zips and buttons. Wear underwear free of metal clips to avoid dressing into a gown. Remove all jewelry from the area of interest.

Is there a surcharge for ACC?

Yes, there is a very competitively priced surcharge. 

Do you offer any payment plans?

Yes, we have afterpay available. 

Will my report be sent to my doctor?

A report is not physically sent to your doctor however he/she are able to view your images (immediately after they’re taken) and your report (available within 24 hours) from inteleviewer.

Who does your reporting?

Our images are reported by Horizon Radiologists.

Do I need an appointment?

You do not need an appointment, but to allow us to better manage our workflow, we encourage you to easily book an appointment online or feel free to call us for assistance. Patients that have an appointment will be given preference over walk-ins.

Why are there surcharges with ACC?

In New Zealand, you pay surcharges with ACC because ACC only pays a portion of the full cost of treatment/ services.
